  1. Homeschooling sounds so wonderful! I love that my child gets the socialization in public school that I can’t seem to give her at home. Learning how to deal with different personalities I think is a great life skill.

    • I totally understand your hesitation! Everyone worries about the socialization of their children! When I was a teacher in the school system, I believed that homeschooling kids weren’t getting what they needed in terms of socialization. Then I started thinking about what kind of socialization kids were receiving in the school system, and I realized it wasn’t what I wanted for my kids. Plus, the homeschooling community has come a long way in the last 10, heck, even 5 years! There are so many opportunities to get together with other homeschoolers (some who are like-minded and others who are not and learn how to deal with different personalities. Also, I get to be there to help them navigate, rather than having other kids, of the same age and stage as my child show them how to deal with those personalities, in some very negative ways.

      If socialization is the ONLY thing holding you back, I challenge you to give more thought! 😉
